Day 3
Have you ever had that one room you want to improve, but not sure if you can do it yourself (DIY). Or you "think" you can do it cheaper, or a better job than someone else. Well, I am going to say "most" of the time don't attempt it.
OMG! We are "attempting" this closet remodel, with the Rubbermaid system (Don't try it), and I have to come to the realization that I am no contractor and Eric is a perfectionist. Not a good combination. Every time he has to tell me to go get something, it's not what he was talking about, or it's just plain wrong. I have to go to the garage 2 different times, then I come back, and he just tells me to bring the whole box. MOST ANNOYING THING EVER! Sometimes I just want say, "Go find a friend that his handy, because asking your girlfriend is the WRONG IDEA!" Also, when his lack of communication skills really come into play, that's when it gets really fun. When he is holding a level and tells me to draw a straight line across. Now to a "normal" person, that means like drawing a straight line with a ruler, but NO! Not to him, nope, no way, not even close. Apparently there is a certain way you hold the pencil. Great fun I tell ya, great fun. If I ever had a moment that I knew exactly what I didn't want to be in life, it's right now at this very moment 11:06 AM on December 13, 2010. I DON'T WANT TO BE A CONTRACTOR. I don't want to build things, put things together, or improve upon something. I tell you, he didn't make the decision to be with me because of my superior ability to build things.
Okay well, on to better things. Last night I bumped up my time on the elliptical, I did 3 sets of 15 minutes, at resistance 2! I am on my way! =) Wish me luck, not only with my 8K, but that no one is hurt in the Lynn household this evening.
Working my way to that....8K
So, This is what I am going to do. One year, 365 days, working my way to a 8k. Boy do I have a way to go. I want to use this blog as a motivation tool. You will hear triumphs, sadness, and miracles. Haha. Yes! A miracle being a 8k. As you most of you that will know I am an active RA patient, and for me to complete this goal would be amazing. So read along, and help me to that goal. Due Date March 2012.

Day 1
So,
Today is the day for changes. I lost my job today, due to economic status. It was a bum day. All in all, as I sit on this couch trying to figure out what I am going to do something pops into mind. I need to get in shape. Not only for my health, but just because I want to. I am done being overweight. Well instead of fighting it, I am going to beat it. AND PROVE EVERYONE WRONG! I can do it, and I will. Starting today. So, this is my goal. I plan on doing the Shamrock 8K in March of 2012. Don't tell me I can't do it, because I can. I will succeed. So, that being said although the Shamrock 8K is in March it's about 15 months, I promise to be ready for my 8K by December 10, 2011. I hope you will share in this exciting time with me.
Exercise Goal Today: Eliptical
2: 15 minute exercise programs on level 1(I did say it would be slow progress....right? LOL)
Love,
Kierston
